History

WCM Machinery, formerly known as Wengcon Machinery, has a history that dates back to the year 1981, when our founder built the company as a light machinery expert, focusing on the rental and reconditioning business and catering for the construction industry.

Equipment rented includes excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, cranes, lorries, generator sets, compressors and welding sets among others.

By 1982, we expanded from rental and reconditioning of light machinery to selling and servicing, still staying focused on the construction industry. Within a short span of time, the business saw a boost and we increased our services in certain areas in East Malaysia.

By the end of 1997, we saw some 500 units of heavy equipment reconditioned and sold. This happened in line with the Malaysian Government’s objective in promoting the reconditioning industry as outlined in the Promotion of Investment Act, 1986.

Our founder's perseverance and dedication constantly led the company to greater achievements, including the expansion of its expertise that has gone beyond just equipment and machinery rental. Today, the group has transformed into a one-stop machinery solutions provider servicing not only the construction industry, but also the oil & gas, marine and agriculture industries.
